Author Guidelines
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Please compile all of the following information before submitting your proposal:
For submission on the site:
o Title of presentation (limit of 100 characters)
o Abstract (25-50) words for inclusion in the conference program and display on the conference website
o Program track to which topic relates
o A list of keywords related to the submission content
A proposal saved in either Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format that includes the following:
o Type of session (please choose a preferred and secondary preference): individual presentation, group presentation, or poster session.
o Objective(s) of the presentation: purpose of the session--what the attendee should expect to get out of attending
o Three hundred word paper description (300 words). No more than two figures or other illustrations should be included with a total word plus figure limitation of one page.
o The text should be single-spaced with a 12-point font and figures should be inserted into the text stream.
PROPOSAL SELECTION CRITERIA
Proposals will be selected based on the following criteria:
o A clear and concise description of the proposed presentation
o Relevance to selected learning track and to conference goals and objectives
o Contribution to research, theory, and practice
o Appropriate scope and focus for session type and time allotted
o Evidence of presenter experience with topic and emerging technology implementation
o Appeal to participants
o Focus Areas
Submission Preparation Checklist
- If the submission has been previously published or it is before another conference for consideration, an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Director.
- All URL addresses in the text (e.g., http://www.sloan-c.org) are activated and ready to click.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Conference.
- The two main components that are required during the submission process have been collected and ready for submission. These two components, described in the checklist items below in additional detail, are the 25-50 word abstract and proposal document (to be uploaded during the process).

a) Authors retain copyright over their work, while allowing the conference to place this unpublished work under a Creative Commons Attribution License, which allows others to freely access, use, and share the work, with an acknowledgment of the work's authorship and its initial presentation at this conference.
b) Authors are able to waive the terms of the CC license and enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution and subsequent publication of this work (e.g., publish a revised version in a journal, post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgment of its initial presentation at this conference.
c) In addition, authors are encouraged to post and share their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) at any point before and after the conference.
